Privacy Policy

ShotSort (“we”, “our”, “us”) is an Android application that automatically organizes your screenshots using on-device OCR and user-defined rules.

We do not operate any server that receives your screenshots, OCR results, rules, or file paths. The core functionality of ShotSort works entirely offline and on your device. This policy describes the limited data interactions that do occur, specifically through two third-party Google services: AdMob (advertising) and Google Play Billing (in-app purchases).

ShotSort never transmits the following to any server:

• Your screenshots or any image data
• Text extracted from screenshots by OCR
• Your sorting rules, keywords, or folder paths
• Your device's file structure or directory listings
• Your name, email address, or any account information

No account or sign-in is required to use ShotSort. All sorting rules and preferences are stored locally in a Room database and DataStore on your device and are never synced externally.

The free version of ShotSort displays banner advertisements served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use certain data to serve personalized or non-personalized ads, subject to Google's own privacy policy.

Data AdMob may collect includes:

• Advertising ID (Android Advertising ID / GAID)
• Device model, OS version, and language
• IP address (used to infer general location)
• App interaction signals (ad impressions, clicks)

You can opt out of personalized ads at any time via Android Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization. Upgrading to ShotSort Pro removes all ads.

ShotSort Pro is available as a one-time in-app purchase through Google Play Billing. All payment processing is handled entirely by Google Play — we do not receive, store, or process your payment card details or billing address.

When you purchase Pro, Google Play provides us with a purchase token that confirms the purchase status. This token is verified on-device only (no backend server is involved). Your purchase is tied to your Google account and can be restored on any device signed into the same account.

ShotSort requests the following permissions. All are used solely for local, on-device operations:

ShotSort may display local notifications on your device to indicate service status (e.g. monitoring active) or errors. These notifications are generated locally on your device and no notification content is transmitted to any external server.

ShotSort is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us and we will take steps to delete such information.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of ShotSort after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
